Newly Modern to begin participating in First Friday Art Walk

Please join us for the first of our First Friday Art Walk evenings November 5th  from 6-9. This months featured artist is Brooke Lindgren.

Brooke Lindgren is a native Oregonian raised in Klamath Fall, she attended Sonoma State  where she received her BFA in fine arts. She has been photographing and painting since childhood. Introduced to the arts by her grandmother, a life long artist, Brooke would paint along side her learning to view the world with an artist eye.
Brooke’s mottos “Rules & models destroy genius and art.” and “Unlimited opportunities, no right or wrong, just creating.” allow her to see beauty in all things, the mundane, the ordinary and even the ugly. Wether with her brush or her camera she captures the subject to allow others to see the beauty in it.
This talent, coupled with her dedication to excellence and customer service, is what has made her so successful as the owner of  Framed Art Studios (www.framedartstudios.com).  In business since 2000, Framed Art Studios was named a finalist for Small business of the Year in 2007. Brooke has also been one of Decor Magazines Top 100 Art and Framing Retailers five years in a row.
“Creativity is a kind of awareness that leads to a new way of seeing the world.”

20th Floor Condo Goes Gator

When Scott purchased his 20th floor condominium he was ready to make the space his own.  White walls, beautiful mahogany wood floors, and river views that go on for miles created a blank slate to get his Gator on. The blue and orange team colors of the Florida Gators became our inspiration for this transformation. But Scott was a little hesitant of color at first.

Color! Color! Color!  Don't be afraid to express yourself through color! Here is what happened.

First we painted the open living room, dining room, and kitchen a beautiful gator orange.  Then, placed a 12x12 deep sea blue custom area rug over the rich mahogany wood floor. Creamy leather sofa's with orange and blue custom pillows, the perfect lighting to show case artwork and grandpas handmade marble sculptures, brushed nickel hardware and accessories were all embraced by the orange paint and blue rug that created the foundation.  Two colors created a beautiful space.

"I can't believe how color transformed my space to reflect my personality.  I love it!  Renee' did an amazing job walking me through my fear of using color."

Color really  is your friend, embrace it!

In design collaboration is an essential, creating a home requires the taste, talent and creativity of many. From the likes and dislikes of the client to the talent of the artist and craftsman that adorn walls, halls and living  area, the creation of a home is never from a singular entity.  When orchestrated in harmony the outcome is pure inspiration.
